David Stone

In David's own words: " A scout looking for a German looking best man for Brigitte Bardot's ' Two Weeks in September ' started my journey into films. Numerous school plays and amateur dramatics put me in front. I then found myself auditioning for ' The Stud ' as a " stud " with Joan Collins and Oliver Tobias. Needless to say, I was chosen! My character was ' Carl ' and we filmed at Regines nightclub above (Barkers) High Street Kensington. Those were the days!

After that I did numerous parts but one not to forget was in ' Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope ' as the character ' Wioslea ' who purchased the land speeder from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) at Mos Eisley Spaceport and was in the cantina scene also in April 1976 which was much fun and to even be asked to double for Mark Hamill in an X-Wing fighter which was  nerve racking but I'm still here to tell the story! I also portrayed a B-Wing pilot in ' Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi '.

I also played a policeman in ' Personal Services ' with Julie Walters aka Madam Cyn (Cynthia Payne) - Miss Whiplash. Was a great film! My journey semi ended here as I bought a holiday complex in Devon and devoted my time to that for the years to follow. "
